Jonah came up and we had dinner together. He is cooking a roast in the crockpot for Sabbath.

He went home to watch a movie by himself. Joy said, “You can’t be alone on New Year’s Eve!” I forgot what day it was. Duh.
We went down and crashed his personal party to spend the evening with him. This is the first time we have been to his house for the evening. I think he was pleased to have guests.

Joy and I came home early and waited for midnight at our house.

Got to bed late last night. I was working to get a new blog program installed on the site so I could post my journal when the time comes. I got less than 5 hours of restless sleep. So tired and I have to get to Ken’s today.

The day working at Ken’s went well even though the morning was disastrous before I left. Joy had the coffee pot ready to go for me, but I must have jiggled the lid before pushing the button to start the coffee. I ended up with an entire pot of coffee AND grounds all over the counter. After I cleaned that up, I started a new pot and went to fill the kerosene heater so Joy could be warm while I was gone. After I got that done, I walked outside and realized it was going to be a very warm day. I went to turn off the kerosene heater and the mechanism wouldn’t work. It was locked in the ON position. Great! I went to tell Joy, who was still in bed, and when I turned, the sole on my boot caught on the carpet and tore off. Not much good happening so far. I was ready to call Ken and cancel because I was afraid the rest of the day would be awful.

Dan called at 7:00am, apparently to get through before I got online. I always get online to check mail as soon as I get up in the morning.

Glued Dan’s small table this morning. Will try to get it finished this afternoon so Joy can deliver it tomorrow. $120 is $120.

Up at 6:30am

Gotta work at Ken’s today. Not much $, but we need all we can get.

I installed SuSE on George’s machine. The grub loader would not kick in. He had to reinstall XP because he could not remember the root password to repair the install.
