Another Miracle

I stopped by the bank on my way to work today to take care of the mortgage issue after yesterday’s miracle.  I thought they opened at 8:00 but instead, they open at 9:00.  I start work at nine and it’s an hour drive.  I decided to go through the drive-thru and at least deposit the money.  I asked the teller if I had to go inside for a cashier’s check and she said "Yes, why?"  I told her of my miscalculation in time and said I was late to work.  She said, "I have another customer behind you but if you’ll pull back around behind him, I’ll take care of it for you.

Imagine, a drive-thru teller getting a cashier’s check before the office opens!

To the post office and ZOOM to work.  Just a few minutes late, but all is well.

Our Midnight Miracle

As you know, we have been facing a crisis with our mortgage.  Last week, we were notified by a law firm that we had 10 days to send a specified amount of money or face legal action…again.  My paycheck would arrive too late to accomplish this goal.  Even if I had gotten my paycheck early, it would have to clear before the funds would be available.  We needed a miracle.

At work today, they put all the names of salesmen who had received excellent customer satisfaction ratings in a hat for a drawing.  The prize was two tickets to a Chiefs football game.  My name went in the hat.  My name was drawn as the winner and I was presented with two tickets to the game and a one hundred dollar bill.

Getting to the stadium from where we live would take us about 1 1/2 hours considering the traffic.  Then the money to park which is a lot and so on.  I spoke with my wife and we decided that if someone wanted to buy the tickets, we would sell them and I would take her to dinner instead.  Within an hour, someone bought the tickets for $80.  I then had a miraculous $180 in my pocket.   I also received my paycheck today, one day early.  The bank will let me withdraw a maximum of $150 from the paycheck until it clears.  Armed with that $150, plus the $180, plus the pittance left in the account, I b-a-r-e-l-y have enough to make the necessary payment and if I send it overnight, express mail in the mornint, it will arrive just in the nick of time.

Don’t tell me this isn’t a miracle.

Halleluiah!

In His Element - Logan Update

Logan has started his schooling for aviation electronics. Here is what he says about it.

It’s fun. It’s all self-done lessons on a pc. You go at your own pace. Im already like twice as far as anyone else in my class. Even my instructor was surprised. He though I was cheating or something, lol. Then he walked away and I heard another instructor say to him "Maybe he’s just smart and has a really good memory."

He is in his element. You give him a computer and let him absorb at his own pace and he will zoom through the material. He gets bored when his mind processes faster than an instructor teaches.

Wanted to Say…

I wanted to say thank you.

As a father, I want to thank you for being such a wonderful son who makes me so very proud.

As a friend, I want to thank you for being that special someone that I can talk to and who can talk to me about anything.

As a Christian brother, I want to thank you for being there to pray for me and I for you.

As an American, I want to thank you for what you are doing and will do for this nation, this people.

It’s impossible to put into words the many reasons I am thankful for you, my son, my friend, my brother in Christ, the protector of our country.

I pray for you daily.  I thank God for you daily.

- Dad
Thank you for enriching my life
