I’ve been to the store. Dinner is in the oven. The chores are done and the sun is going down.
Shabbat Shalom, my friend.

Cries for Help Edited Out of 9/11 Tapes

In releasing the 130 calls, city officials edited out the voices of those who sought help. But the police and fire dispatchers often repeated the callers’ words, reflecting the fear and chaos of the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
I wonder why the government doesn’t want us to know what the people trapped in the towers had to say. Maybe their words would put a different spin on the story we were told, eh? Remember, when they also never released the voice recordings from the planes’ cockpits.

A Civil War Brewing?

The congress and president are intentionally going against the wishes of the American public by granting amnesty to illegal (notice the word) aliens. Those who have lost their jobs to people who have no legal right to be here could soon rally and take this country back.
Remember, legislative weenies, you have to come home sometime…unless you want to go to Mexico or Hong Kong or Dubai. Maybe the United Nations could finnd you a cozy cot in some rat infested refugee camp in Idaho.

The Wind and the Birdie Girls

The storm that went through her last night tore up the birdie girls’ pen pretty bad. I tied the netting up in several places but it’s going to take a remodel.
I wonder if you can buy birdie girl pen insurance? What would that be under in the phone book?

Jill Carroll’s “Miracle”

This must be a scratch and sniff news article because something smells funny when you scratch the surface.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — American reporter Jill Carroll’s three-month hostage ordeal ended Thursday when she was left on a Baghdad street in front of a Sunni political party office. She appeared composed and eager to talk about her 82 days held captive in a tiny room.
Another quote…
In the interview, Carroll seemed well and animated and spoke in a strong voice. She frequently tucked her hair under her headscarf, and appeared excited to be free nearly three months after she was ambushed and her translator killed.
I don’t know about you, but I would think that a girl held captive for three months by "terrorists" who publicly threatened to kill her, would not be animated and speak in a strong voice when she was released.
Call me a skeptic, but there is something fishy about this story. Does this look like a woman who was just released after being held captive by terrorists? Is she behaving like one? She looks kind of pudgy and perky doesn’t she? Sorry folks. You may raise your hands to the heavens in praise over this poor soul who was set free, but I ain’t buying it.
