Sometimes things happen suddenly and without warning.  When you examine them closely, you discover that they weren’t so sudden or without warning.

I have a great idea for a new business, but the business would be quickly shut down by the "authorities" so I would have to hit the market hard and fast.  Get in and get out.  What is this great idea?  I’m going to sell sticks.  Not just any kind of stick, mind you, but hard sticks.  I’ll cut them from a hedge tree and sell them as…let’s see…band instruments.  Yes, that’s it, band instruments.

Agents in Florida confiscated 14,000 packages of brass knuckles disguised as belt buckles in packaging from Pakistan and China on Monday, according to Local 6 News.

"…There is no way this could be used as a belt buckle," Local 6 reporter Erik von Ancken said. "This is not a novelty, it is solid metal used for only one reason police tells us. In fact, even the packaging is a joke — it is spelled ‘b-u-k-l-e.’ The packaging, from Pakistan and China, reads ‘belt buckle’ but police say that is ridiculous."

"You’re going to have a child scarred for life, and possibly not even survive," an undercover agent said while checking the items.

So you see, when "someone" finds out that you can hit someone with a stick, they will become illegal to own.  Then I’ll sell rocks.

They’ll probably try to put me in jail for "making a destructive device."  I thought it was only against the law to use a destructive device.  Next thing you know, it will be against the law to think about a destructive device, like a stick.

Stupid people shouldn’t breed…or vote…or carry guns, even if they do have a badge or serve in a public office.

A jillion immigrants are protesting around the country, against the proposed new immigration laws.

My thoughts?  Why don’t we try enforcing the laws we have before we add more that probably won’t be enforced either.  We already have a process to obtain legal citizenship, so what’s the problem?  With all of the illegal immigrants that are protesting, you would think they’d be arresting some of them at least, right?
